I can speak both and, personally, I find that chinese is the more difficult of the two. You use an entirely different alphabet with complex characters. Some words in spanish are similar to those in english but few are in chinese, as it originated on the other side of the world. Hope that helps =D

Trust yourself, Chinese is not so difficult. Speak more, pratice more, and you will improve rapidly.
I guess every language is best learned in this way.
You can make some native Chinese and take some free courses on line.
There is a “Nihao Chinese” program which is a free trail on line!!!
Visit http://www.echineselearning.com/nihao
There you can make many Chinese friends and take a free course “nihao”
you will find a surprise.

Chinese can be very difficult because you have to be so much in control of your cheek muscles. Be prepared for your cheeks to twitch involuntarily while you are learning!
Para mi, espanol era muy facil aprender, pero chino…???
Go for it!
