On the whole, this is a terrific book for intermediate students of arabic grammer. It covers those obtuse topics like gerunds, infinitives, etc. It is unbelievable, however, that the author did not write the arabic examples in arabic script. For example, “Whose books are these?” is translated “li-man hadhihi -lkutub-u?” The reader really needs to translate the translation! Hopefully there will be a second edition soon that goes directly from English to arabic. It would be worth waiting for.
This book is very helpful by relating Arabic grammer to English grammer, and for explaining it in creative and different ways.
